Manager and Partner, Appetito and Las Casuelas Terraza
Restaurateur Patrick Service has lived most of his life in Palm Springs, being born into the legendary Las Casuelas restaurant family here.
“My great family company equipped me to go back East and learn,” Service says. “I left New York on the upswing in my career because I love Palm Springs so much. This is such an innovative environment, and the community has worked with us to grow.”
Service returned to the family’s Las Casuelas Terraza and also ventured into his own new eatery, Appetito, where he and wife Anida work together. The president-elect of the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce is proud of his generation’s attention to responsibility.
“Our generation thinks it is cool to drive a Prius,” he says. “My wife and I ride bikes and have just one car. We recycle all we can. Actually, Las Casuelas Terraza was the first solar business in Palm Springs."
In terms of Service’s cooking skills, he is honest.
“I only have 10 recipes that are my go-tos, but I do them really well,” he says.
