Owning a tequila company could make a person pretty popular — if he had time to bask in the glory. Ron Alderete’s life stays busy and moving, literally.
As the president of Premium Employment Service, which focuses on the agriculture industry, he moves with the crops, and it suits him well.
“I love being outdoors, interacting with people, traveling, and seeing the different crops,” says Alderete, who grew up in Salinas Valley. “I began my tequila company, Tequila Alderete, three years ago to share the history and culture of the Mexican people.”
Alderete professes that tequila can be a fine spirit like a cognac or a nice scotch.
“I am passionate to show how far tequila has come from spring break days,” says the married father of a 2-year-old son. “Hopefully, people will come to appreciate boutique-quality tequila.”
