Palm Springs Festival of Lights Parade
For one night each December, downtown Palm Springs twinkles during the annual Festival of Lights Parade (www.psfestivaloflights.com). On Dec. 3, the Palm Springs institution celebrates its 20th year with another dazzle: Carol Channing stars as grand marshal.
The parade kicks off at 5:45 p.m. at Ramon Road and heads north on Palm Canyon Drive to Tamarisk Road. Stake your claim on the parade route early, as this is one popular event.
