Valentine’s Day is less than a week away, so have you made any plans?

Or is this like the Christmas holidays and you’re one of those people dashing about trying to get everything done at the last minute.

All it takes is one phone call or even a touch on your tablet to book your plans for that special someone in your life.

Here are some suggestions in no particular order. But don’t stop there. Tell us yours in the comment section.

Home Depot. No, really. And I’m not talking about a gift card. Home Depot’s website sells roses with a vase and delivery.

The Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa. Lantana’s prix fixe menu includes items like Watercress strawberry salad with whipped goat cheese and Beef tenderloin with parsnip puree.

Wine Tasting at Indian Wells Golf Resort. There will be 20 participating wineries and Executive Chef Chris Olson will have an array of hors d’oeuvres. Each woman in attendance will receive a red rose.

The Historic Mission Inn Hotel and Spa in Riverside. Why not package in an overnight stay? The hotel offers a couple, and you can turn a romantic night into a getaway.

Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio has a trio of food choices depending on what kind of ambiance you seek. The more romantic settings belong to At The Bistro and POM. Feast on heart-shaped ravioli filled with lobster meat and blended cheeses At the Bistro. A special surf n’ turf is available at POM, and there is the Fresh Grill Buffet is open from 4-9 p.m.

Trio in Palm Springs begins serving dinner at 4 p.m. with a prix fixe menu. Keeping in Trio style, an orange rose for the lady.

Joshua Tree National Park. A dose of practicality comes in the form of a basic map and compass class, a two-day, hands-on field class where participants learn topography and map reading. So the next time someone tells you to get lost, you’ll know how to find your way back.

La Quinta Resort & Club’s Morgan’s in the Desert. An Aphrodisiac menu and wine pairing delivers rich, seductive dark flavors. Ranges from Tiny Tastes with Three Moods of Oysters to Pan Seared Hazelnut Crusted Fijian Mahi Mahi.
