While the 26-foot “Forever Marilyn” sculpture literally stands out as a must-see part of Marilyn Monroe’s presence in Palm Springs, no experience is complete without a stay at the Palm Springs Rendezvous’ “Pretty in Pink” room.
The mid-century modern bed and breakfast located on North Indian Canyon Drive, originally built in 1938, once was a “getaway” for the movie star-sex symbol during the 1950s.

When the current owners of the Palm Springs Rendezvous looked back at their records, they found that Marilyn and her friends stayed here, said general manager John Michael Cooper.
Cooper said the room was a respite from Marilyn’s regular residence at The Racquet Club of Palm Springs.
“We do get a lot of Marilyn Monroe fans who stay here,” said Cooper. “But we also get a lot of couples celebrating anniversaries who just like the décor.”
At the time, the room had a more muted decor, but today the “Pretty in Pink” suite is decked out in shades of pink from the walls, to the bedspreads, pillows and artwork.
