Amber Owens Wins Concierge of the Year – Oct. 27, 2015

Amber Owens has been chosen the Concierge of the Year at an event hosted by Palm Springs Life on Oct. 27 at Vicky’s of Santa Fe in Indian Wells.

Owens, a concierge of the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells, received the prestigious honor at the 21st annual Concierge of the Year Awards by Mayor Ty Peabody of the City of Indian Wells. Peabody commended Owens for her outstanding service.

Raju Mehta of El Paseo Jewelers provided Owens with a lovely diamond pin, and Palm Springs Life Publisher Frank Jones presented her with a check for $1,000.

The elegant event featured hors’ doeurves and a gourmet dinner hosted by Mark Laliberte and Marc Lodovico of Vicky’s of Santa Fe. The nominees, which included Joe Diaz of the La Quinta Resort & Spa and Sally Yates of the Miramonte Resort & Spa, were selected for this honor by their peers.

Event judges included Kate Anderson, director of public relations at the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians (an event sponsor); Oscar Babb, owner of the Broken Yoke Café; Jeffrey Norman, director of communications and public affairs of the McCallum Theater; Greg Purdy, communications manager of the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, and Kelly McFall, owner of Wilma and Frieda’s Café in Palm Desert.

Johnny Colondato, of the Greater Palm Springs Convention and Visitors Bureau, honored all event attendees with a champagne toast, and My Little Flower Shop provided the stunning table arrangements.
