Christian Hohmann brings Clemens Kindling's legacy to El Paseo art gallery

One of Christian Hohmann’s earliest childhood memories is visiting the studio of Clemens Kindling with his parents.

Kindling passed away in 1992, but Hohmann is excited at the opportunity to showcase Kindling’s work while his wife, Maria, is still alive.

Hohmann has put together 15 paintings from his parents’ personal collection along with 11 from the Kindling estate at his art gallery on El Paseo in Palm Desert.

“It was my heartfelt desire to put together this exhibition so Maria could see that we would bring his legacy to the United States, half way around the globe from where his story started almost 100 years ago,” Hohmann said.

This impressive exhibition dates back to as early as 1938 and as late as 1991.

Christian Hohmann Fine Art is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and by appointment on Sunday.
