Assistance League of the Palm Springs Desert Area sponsored their third Christmas Marine Baby Shower for the Marine and Navy wives from Twentynine Palms Military Base. The event was held at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa in Indian Wells. In attendance were Chief of Staff Colonel and Mrs. James Hanlon, Anita Neu-Fultz, Executive Director of Armed Services YMCA, Master of Ceremonies, Raymond Moore, CEO Indian Wells Tennis Gardens and members and guests of Assistance League of Palm Springs Desert Area.
Assistance League wishes to give these young women who are away from family and friends a very special first-born baby shower. It is their way to show their support to the men and women who serve our country. The expectant mothers received a complete baby layette, baby portable playpen, baby monitor, baby digital thermometer, a case of diapers, baby bath, baby lotions, books, toys and a 'first' Teddy Bear.
