Brian Marki Fine Art & Framing will help mark the beginning of The Year of Sandro, a series of events celebrating the special moments of Italian painter Sandro Negri's life and work, for its season-opening exhibit from 5-8 p.m. Oct. 10.

Special guest speaker will be Rocco Proce from Mantova, Italy, a colleague and collaborator to Negri for 20 years, who will tell personal stories of the painter and his works.

“With Sandro Negri’s passing in 2012, it is with great honor we share his life, extensive body of work and dedication to a lifetime of painting,” says Marki. “The Year of Sandro celebrates that unquenchable passion with specials events through 2015.”

As a long-time Northwest gallerist and fine art framer, Marki represents both International and American artists, including the late Italian artist Sandro Negri, American landscape artist Scott Gellatly, abstract artist Gordon Marshall, Jason Bradbury and many others.

Brian Marki Fine Art and Framing opened a second gallery in Palm Springs after marking 20 years in Portland.

“Palm Springs’ revitalized fine art scene was such a huge draw for me,” Marki says. “I look forward to bringing additional depth to my new art community. And with a full-service framing facility on-site, we are adding an important art service to the region.”
