Maybe it was the 65-foot screen in the Extreme Digital Cinema auditorium.

Or the comfy, electric-powered luxury recliners.

But the opening of the Century La Quinta and XD on Nov. 5 will mark a new look and feel to going to the movies.

These recliners are in every one of the 12 theaters, which range in capacity from 65 people to more than 100. Even sitting close to the screen, the recliners make it possible to enjoy the movie.

The concession stand is also not your run-of-the mill version. It's self-serving. So you go through a line and pick the items you want and check out at the cashier. There is a separate station to purchase beer, wine and frozen cocktails.

There is also reserved seating. So when Star Wars opens in mid-December, you have a better chance of seeing it.
