Cork & Fork Wine Bar & Kitchen is making room for more guests.

The La Quinta restaurant, which opened in January, has recently added an outdoor patio to nearly double its seating capacity.

The patio will be open Friday and Saturday nights to start, and could expand to full-time status during the season.

“We’ve been so pleased with the way our customers have embraced our restaurant concept,” said Andie Hubka, executive chef. “We knew we needed to expand to accommodate more guests, and an outdoor patio seemed like the perfect way to do that.”

Cork & Fork features fresh seasonal specials, as well as an eclectic menu with unique dishes such as Turkey Gorgonzola Meatloaf; the Coachella Pizza with bacon, local dates and goat cheese; the Grown Up Grilled Cheese with braised short rib, aged sharp cheddar cheese and tomato jam; and desserts like the Goat Cheese Truffles with Nutella and Hazelnut and the King’s Hawaiian Bread Pudding.

Featured dessert this season is the Asian Spice Gingerbread Cake with Cardamom Maple Whipped Cream, Turbinado Sugar and Whiskey Caramel.

Cork & Fork's menu involves small plates which can be paired with unique wines. The dishes served have a strong Italian and Mediterranean influence, with featured ingredients from places like Japan, Vietnam and Thailand.
