Desires of the Collective Unconscious – Feb. 19, 2016

The Works Of David Stanton

Site Staff Social Scene

Located in The Art Place in Palm Desert, Gallery Lazzaro offers an ambiance of intimate elegance with an industrial edge for its current solo exhibition, “Desires of the Collective Unconscious: the Works of David Stanton."

The show opened Feb. 19 with a well-attended grand opening party.

Gallery Lazzaro is not your typical gallery. Think interior design showroom with the cerebral vibe of a salon centered around great art.  Lawrence Lazzaro and Nicholas Hertneck, owners of Nicholas Lawrence Design, created Gallery Lazzaro with mindful attention to the overall gallery experience.

With walls painted Farrow & Ball’s Hague Blue — a deep blue-gray, the art is clearly the focal point. Plank-style flooring, designed in flow patterns, gently guides people through four distinctive gallery spaces, and strategically placed antiques and furnishings throughout create a sense of scale and what the art might look like in a home.

Stanton’s work will show through March 15.
