Dinner in the Garden, Under the Stars at Desert Art Collection – Oct. 16, 2015

Site Staff Social Scene

Desert Art Collection marked its 20th anniversary season with a curated Chef's dinner in their sculpture garden for Coachella Valley journalists and concierge to introduce a new concept of showing art.

An unprecedented series of "Pop-up" art shows are planned during the 2015-16 season, allowing for a unique mixture of established and emerging talent to showcase their work at the gallery.

While traditional shows usually hang at the gallery for a month, this season will see a wide variety of artists whose work will be showcased over the course of a weekend. Limited to Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, all work featured in the show will be posted on the website for clients unable to get to the gallery. Visit www.desertartcollection.com for a complete list of shows planned to date.

In addition to the artist shows, a silent auction fundraiser is planned in February to benefit Hanson House, which provides low or no-cost accommodations to a variety of people in need.

They include loved ones of hospitalized critically ill patients, parents of newborn babies critically ill in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, cancer patients receiving treatment at the Comprehensive Cancer Center or at Luci Cursi, military families from 29 Palms Marine base and all families of first responders.
