The recently opened Palm House in Palm Springs was the location for the annual “Divas Thank You Dinner” presented by Fashion Week El Paseo and Palm Springs Life.
Fashion Week Divas are patron sponsors of Fashion Week entitled to front row seats to all runway events as well as invited guests to exclusive Diva pre- and post-Fashion Week events.
More than 50 Divas gathered for an evening of “catching up,” musical entertainment by The Palm House Band, and a dinner shared with new and old friends who have a mutual interest in fashion and Fashion Week El Paseo.
A good deal of the evening’s conversation centered on the eight fashion shows of Fashion Week and the grand tastings of Palm Desert Food and Wine. “Who was your favorite designer?” their favorite Diva events, and who will be the featured designers for 2017. (Scheduled for March 18-26, 2017)
This group of tireless “fashionistas” has enjoyed eight special Diva events that included a night of Pampering at Just Blow Drys and Wink Lash and Beauty Bar; a FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise scholarship presentation at John and Victoria Hill’s home in Palm Springs; a BMW racing school experience; an evening of Calder/Picasso at Heather James Art; a James Beard Luncheon under the big white tents; and eight evenings of Fashion Week Shows and many subsequent trunk shows with the designers of the week.
Among the Divas in attendance for the “Thank you dinner” were: Diana Braun, Craig Courtright, Robert Downing and Tracy Boomer, Marc and Heidi Empey, Charissa Farley, Regina Jones, Dr. and Mrs. Ghassan Kazmouz, Troy and Amy Kudlac, Donna MacMillan, Marcie Madain, Terri Munselle, Valerie Powers-Smith and Dr. Mark Smith, Tricia and Tom Prentice,
