You've probably been to concerts where the entertainer invites the crowd to sing along with the song.

The difference on March 6 was the performers were literally feet from where you were standing.

Inside a ballroom of the JW Marriott Desert Springs in Palm Desert, the intimate surroundings made it feel like a personal concert given by a slew of pop and rock stars from the 1970s and '80s, including The Eagles' Don Felder and Little River Band's Wayne Nelson. Others to take the stage included Kim Carnes (Betty Davis Eyes), John Elefante (Kansas' lead singer, Carry on My Wayward Sun, Dust in the Wind), HLN Express anchor Robin Meade, R.E.M.'s Mike Mills, and Alice Cooper.

And it was all for a good cause, benefiting the Patrick Warburton Celebrity Golf Tournament Weekend and its charity, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
