Veterinarian, VCA Desert Animal Hospital Palm Springs
“Yatesy” found her calling early. Growing up, she says, “I always told people I was Dr. Doolittle and I was going to save the animals.”
By age 15, she had already landed a job at the same hospital where she now works as a veterinarian, treating all manner of furred, feathered, and scaled creatures.
She dedicates time to rescuing elderly and sick animals, like her tiny (now healthy) sidekick Chihuahua, Dr. Crash, and serves on the Palm Springs Animal Shelter board. “I wouldn’t do anything else. This is my passion and my life.”
