2018 Latin Grammy Winners Banda Los Recoditos to Bring Their Groove to Morongo Casino Resort in Cabazon
Fresh from their 2018 Latin Grammy honors, Banda Los Recoditos will keep the Cinco De Mayo celebration going with their superstar sound and undeniable charm at the Morongo Casino Resort & Spa on May 10.
“You don’t just watch the Banda Los Recoditos perform as much as you experience the incredible sights, sounds and energy they bring to the stage and their audience,” said Morongo’s Executive Director of Marketing Simon Farmer. “There’s a reason these guys just won the Latin Grammy for Best Banda Album of the Year – they are simply amazing.”
The iconic Mexican ensemble was originally formed in 1989 by friends and family of the influential group Banda El Recodo de Cruz Lizarraga. Their unique sound led Banda Los Recoditos to be named the 2005 Popular Breakthrough Artist of the Year at the Premios Oye, an annual awards ceremony celebrating outstanding achievements in the Mexican music industry.
The group launched into international stardom in 2010 with the release of the album “¡Ando Bien Pedo!” which topped the Latin Billboard chart. Its title track, ¡Ando Bien Pedo!, was the number-one hit on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart. In 2016 the band was honored as the Regional Mexican Artist of the Year at the iHeart Music Awards.
Banda Los Recoditos is well known for its traditional Mexican banda music – a style of Mexican ensemble music involving brass or percussion wind instruments that incorporates sounds from many different traditional Mexican genres, including ranchera and polka music.
Tickets are available via Ticketmaster and the Morongo Box Office for $65 and $55. Doors open at 8 PM and the show begins at 9 PM. For more information about the concert, visit morongocasinoresort.com.
