September 7 is the kickoff for the fall season of “Art Cruise 29!” events, which are featured on the first Saturday of each month at several local galleries in Twentynine Palms. The public is invited to visit the exhibitions, meet the artists, and enjoy artistic hospitality. Admission is free to all events.
The 29 Palms Visitor Center and Art Gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and features the final month of the exhibition, “Oh, Those Summer Nights,” hosted by the city’s Public Arts Advisory Committee. From 3 to 9 p.m., Artomotive Gallery on the corner of 29 Palms Hwy and National Park Drive will offer art and refreshments and socializing at the gallery, featuring the photography, metal art, and three-dimensional artwork by Sheliah Bailey, Duane Byrd, Stacy Byrd, and Elisabeth Pollnow.
The Glass Outhouse Art Gallery in Wonder Valley features the work of Joshua Tree artists Valerie Davis and Zara Kand in September. The gallery will host an opening reception from 5 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7. The eclectic gallery is located approximately four miles east of downtown on 29 Palms Hwy at Thunder Road.
