Desert Art Center in Palm Springs Introduces New Art Show, Unveils Clay Studio
The Desert Art Center in Palm Springs launches the 2021-22 season on Friday, October 1, with a festive opening night for the public, showcasing a new art show in the two-room Main Gallery. The reception, running from 5 – 7 p.m., will feature refreshments and live music as patrons browse the gallery to view the latest works by DAC’s juried gallery members.
In addition, the evening will feature clay-throwing demonstrations in DAC’s new clay studio, which enables DAC instructors to offer clay-wheel classes. See the website for details at www.desertartcenter.org.
The Desert Art Center is the longest running art center in the Coachella Valley. Our beautiful and bright refurbished gallery, at 550 N. Palm Canyon Drive at Alejo, is located in the historic building that once served as the first school in Palm Springs. The gallery showcases an enormous variety of artwork from 130+ of the valley’s finest artists and instructors. We are a non-profit organization with a mission to provide art education to adults and children in a range of mediums.
