Marks Art Center at the College of the Desert presents “Future Memory,” an exhibition exploring intention in the age of AR and AI, curated by Farida Amar and Jeremy Quant. The opening reception will be held Feb. 1, from 4 to 7 p.m. The exhibit challenges traditional memory concepts, highlighting technology’s potential for immersive experiences and shared time-travel. In an era marked by challenges, it emphasizes self-care, play, and community. Featuring diverse expressions of Black Joy, the exhibit showcases interdisciplinary works by artists like Autumn Breon, Obbie West, Ciara Zoe, Devin Mercadel, Claire Foster Brown, Anthony Oshinuga, and Nana Yaa Asare Boadu.
