** Rose Royce, Saturday, March 23
Can you ever go to a car wash and not think of Rose Royce? This soul and R&B group is best known for several hit singles of the 1970s, including “Car Wash,” “Wishing on a Star,” “Love Don’t Live Here Anymore,” and “I Wanna Get Next to You.” Relive great times with these great hits.
** Tenors of Rock, Sunday, March 31
Don’t be confused by the name, this isn’t anything like Placido Domingo. The five male rockers who form Tenors of Rock shot to fame on “The X Factor UK.” They’ve since toured the world and had a long-running show at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. Expect a new twist on your favorite rock songs, including megahits like “Stairway to Heaven,” “Back in Black” and “Living on a Prayer,” among others.
In addition to free admission, parking is also free and available at the Rancho Mirage Community Park and along San Jacinto Drive. The amphitheater has accommodations for handicapped accessibility. While no lawn chairs, ice chests/coolers, or outside food/beverages are allowed, food and beverages are available for purchase.
