Opening of The Harrison House Arts & Ecology Center in Joshua Tree
Please join us for the official opening of the Harrison House Arts & Ecology Center. We are pleased to present Art~Cycled, new and vintage works by Mark Bulwinkle and Keith North during the 18th annual Hwy 62 Open Studio Art Tours. Art~Cycled will feature found objects and refuse upcycled into sculpture, collage and ceramics. Proceeds of art sales will benefit programs at the Arts & Ecology Center.
The difference between art and trash is how it’s reimagined in the hands of a creative mind. Reuse is one of our core principles and an essential component of Bulwinkle and North’s artistic practices, turning discarded materials into visual expression. The show includes flame cut steel lamps made from rusty cans found by Mark Bulwinkle in the desert and Keith North’s Native Girl, a collage fashioned from formica scraps collected from a job site.
Art~Cycled runs October weekends 9am to 5pm at the Harrison House Arts & Ecology Center (located across from Harrison House) at 6836 Mount Lassen Avenue.
You won’t want to miss this fabulous show. We look forward to seeing you in October!
