Palm Springs Aerial Tramway - Palm Springs Life %

Palm Springs Aerial Tramway

The first tram up will be at 10:00 a.m., the last tram up at 8:00 p.m. and the last tram down at 9:30 p.m. Tram cars depart at least every 30 minutes.

Completed projects this year include repositioning of track ropes; changing pendant ropes, and the liners and bushings of pendant rope sheaves; and comprehensive mechanical and electrical testing of Tramway systems.

“Guest safety is always our number one concern at the Tramway,” says General Manager Nancy Nichols, “and our annual maintenance shutdown is critical in ensuring that.”

As we reopen, our first priority is the safety of our valued guests, employees, vendors and community members. Our carefully-planned reopening comes with new health, safety and hygiene procedures in place. As we enjoy Palm Springs Aerial Tramway together again, we ask that everyone please follow the recommendations of health officials and Palm Springs Aerial Tramway’s policies. These measures are based on guidance from health authorities, including the CDC, the State of California and the County of Riverside.

Face coverings are required at both Valley and Mountain Stations, and while aboard tram cars(gaiters, bandannas, and masks with holes or valves are NOT allowed). Also, there will be a temperature check for all patrons upon entrance to the Valley Station. And please observe signage throughout both stations describing other helpful best practices.

Parking can be purchased online in advance. Coachella Valley residents do not need to purchase a parking ticket, but will need to provide proof of residency upon arrival.
