Palm Springs Art Museum is Now Open
After a full year, Palm Springs Art Museum has finally been given the approval to reopen on Thursday, April 1! We cannot wait to share our updated galleries and five new exhibitions!
For the reopening, we are instituting some important changes in how our visitors come to the museum and experience our galleries:
New visitor hours at the main museum are: Friday–Sunday, 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Thursday 10:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. We will be closed Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays.
Visitor capacity will be at 25% and tickets must be purchased or reserved online in advance. These can be printed out or saved digitally on your cell phone.
There will be two entrances for public access to the museum: the main front entrance and the lower-level entrance from the north parking lot (behind the box office). Guests will be asked to complete a series of COVID-19 screening questions and have their temperature taken at the door.
Everyone entering the museum will be required to wear a mask; disposable masks will be available for all visitors. Social distancing of at least six feet will be required at all times.
Hand sanitizing stations will be placed throughout the museum. There will also be signage and volunteers directing the flow of traffic in and out of our galleries to facilitate social distancing.
The Architecture & Design Center, Edwards Harris Pavilion will reopen in September with the exhibition The Modern Chair.
