Palm Springs Photo Festiva XV at the Hyatt Palm Springs
Our fifteenth year Workshop Program will offer 20 intense, hands-on, remarkable classes with world-renowned working photographers and educators. Most begin with a meet and greet on Sunday, May 3rd, and are followed by three full days beginning on Monday, May 4th plus a 4th day optional morning session on the morning of May 7th.
Note: Included in your workshop fee are daily registration for full workshop days, any model fees, transportation costs and a delicious boxed-lunch for each full day of your workshop. Lunches are not included for workshops taking place at the Hyatt Palm Springs.
In most cases, the maximum number of students in a workshop is 16. You will spend three 1/2 days with your fellow students listening, learning, shooting, doing class critiques and comparing notes. Your instructor will work with you, demonstrate his or her methods, explore his or her own work and your own.
We also offer one-day workshops during the week, allowing you to choose from special lighting and and other classes in addition to your principal workshop.
Your 3 or 4 day workshop experience begins with a Meet & Greet on Sunday, May 3rd at 4:30pm to meet your instructor, the workshop assistant(s) and the other attendees in your class. It’s a fun time to get to know one another before jumping into the workshop the following day. Immediately following this you’ll be invited to our Opening Reception which runs from 5:00 to 8:00pm with open bar and passed hors d’oeuvres.
Signing up for a workshop is an important decision. Take the time to study the work of the master photographers teaching this year at Connect 2020:
All Workshop Participants are invited to the Canon/Freestyle Digital Print Center at Korakia on Thursday, May 7th from 11:30am to 6:00pm to have an image from the workshop printed on their choice of several inkjet papersout using custom profiles on a Canon Pro 2000 printer by Eric Joseph. Please note this in your PSPF schedule!
A word about models: If you will be working with models in your workshop, this is important: Models are under no obligation to sign releases at PSPF. Photographers wishing to use the images they make at PSPF commercially will need to negotiate directly with the models for the rights they request. Our workshops are educational in nature and the models are compensated to help in this process. They are entitled to additional pay if additional uses are desired by our attendees.
Cancellation Policy: Please see our FAQs for complete information.
