Join us for our first in a monthly series of Summer Dining benefitting Alzheimers Coachella Valley at Wilma & Frieda, downtown Palm Springs on Sunday, June 27, 5 p.m. The restaurant is located at 155 Palm Canyon Drive.
“We are excited to announce our Summer Dining Series benefitting Alzheimers Coachella Valley,” said Board President Dom Calvano. “With restaurants and small businesses now opening up after the pandemic, and all of us eager to get back together, we want to support our local community while raising funds for our reopening as well.”
A mouthwatering four-course prix fixe dinner at Wilma & Frieda starts with an Amuse Bouche of sweet potato and sausage egg roll in crispy wonton wrapper with an orange mustard dipping sauce. A Mod Wedge Salad features chilled iceberg lettuce with avocado, bleu cheese crumbles, siracha bacon bits with ranch dressing.
A choice of four main courses highlights Wilma & Frieda’s savory inspirations. Whisky River Chicken, beer-battered and fried, comes on a bed of poblano chicken and corn mashed potatoes with a whisky gravy.
Wilma & Frieda’s signature meatloaf over mashed potatoes is topped with a cheddar Mornay sauce, served with haricot verts.
The Seven Spice Sugar Coated Salmon is served on top of a wonton ring of mashed potatoes garnished with Dijon beurre blanc.
Vegetarian option is grilled Portabello mushroom “steak” strips with zucchini spirals tossed in ginger and garlic with roasted pine nuts. This choice is gluten and dairy free.
For dessert: Rustic Peach Crumble served warm, topped with whipped cream.
Cost of the dinner is $75 per person and includes soft beverages. Beer, wine and cocktails are available for additional purchase.
Advance paid reservations are required. Please call Priscilla at (760) 776-3100 or visit www.cvalzheimers.org.
More restaurants in the Summer Dining Series will be announced soon.
