SUNDAY SUPPER – An old tradition in a new light. At PS UNDERGROUND, SUNDAY SUPPER is served at one long communal table where strangers will become friends, laughter will fill the room, conversations will flow as the wine is poured and great memories will be made. It is a family style feast laid upon the table to share. Where will Chef Dave get the inspiration for the meal? It may feature a single ingredient as the star, the food of a single country or culture, what is fresh at the farmer’s market, or inspired by memorable recipes that evoke a quieter, simpler time when family and friends gathered on a lazy afternoon.
“One cannot think well, love well, sleep well if one has not dined well.” -Virginia Woolf
“Food brings people together on many different levels. It’s the nourishment of the soul and body; it truly loves.” -Giada De Laurentiis
“My weaknesses have always been food and men — in that order.” -Dolly Parton
“There is no sincerer love than the love of food.” -George Bernard Shaw
“Everything you see I owe to spaghetti.” -Sophia Loren
“There will be wine. There will always be wine” – PS UNDERGROUND
Break bread with us at this simple celebration of family, friends and food. The experience will include a family style feast of the chef’s creation, free-flowing house red and white wine, and a surprise or two. Although the wine will be plentiful, in true SUNDAY SUPPER tradition, we encourage you to bring a bottle of your own favorite wine to share with those around the table. In exchange, we will send you home with one of ours.
