The Oasis Music Festival Presents Y La Bamba at The Plaza Theatre in Palm Springs
Y La Bamba
Friday, January 28, 2022
Time: 7:30 pm
128 South Palm Canyon Drive
This Portland-based band exists in the dimension of the Mexican American imagination — somewhere cynical and optimistic at the same time — but at its heart is singer-songwriter Luz Elena Mendoza’s inquisitive sense of self. Their tracks invite spiritual contemplation, tracing history while forging modern Chicana feminism.
The Oasis Music Festival is an all-genre festival that will take place throughout the City of Palm Springs. The Festival is being held in part to help local businesses recover from the loses of COVID, in part to bring back the musical lore of Palm Springs, and in part to help with the restoration efforts for historic Plaza Theatre located in downtown Palm Springs. Sponsors, partners, and neighbors are partnering with Palm Springs Life to help make this historic event take place.
WHERE: The Plaza Theatre will be one of the main hubs of the Festival with most of the headline entertainment taking place there. Approximately 60 other venues will also host performances.
WHEN: Thursday, January 27 – Sunday, January 30, 2022.
WHO: Palm Springs Life is producing the event. Headline and local entertainers are participating in the Oasis Music Festival. Festival goers, music fans, locals, and tourists will all enjoy this Festival. Estimated attendance will be between 8,000 and 10,000 people.
