Two-Day High Desert Surroundings Experimental Music Festival Near Joshua Tree National Park
High Desert Soundings brings cutting-edge experimental music to the Mojave Desert.
High Desert Soundings is a two-day festival of experimental music near Joshua Tree National Park set to take place from May 10-11th 2019. Featuring 17 diverse artists – including noise legends Wolf Eyes , composers Sarah Hennies and Carolyn Chen, eco-acoustician David Dunn, experimental punk band Palberta , free jazz icon Vinny Golia , and the unclassifiable sonic wizard Jeph Jerman – High Desert Soundings 2019 presents a uniquely diverse lineup in one of the West’s most beautiful landscapes.
The festival is held in Wonder Valley, a remote community sprawled across 180 square miles of stunning desert. Most events take place on the outdoor stage at The Palms Restaurant, an iconic desert dive bar (and the only restaurant in Wonder Valley) serving delicious food and cheap drinks. Wonder Valley’s natural beauty and remarkable quiet set the stage for immersive and unforgettable performances.
Tickets are on sale now! All tickets include a camping pass for the beautiful campground outside the Palms.
