The “Western Art at the Autry” art show and auction, held March 2-4, 1990, at the Gene Autry Hotel featured paintings by local artists Paul Grimm and Charles Craig.

The funds generated at the auction benefited the Palm Springs Historical Society. Lending their support for the charitable endeavor was former Palm Springs Mayor Frank Bogert, the current Mayor Sonny Bono and Elizabeth Kieley, president of the Palm Springs Historical Society.
