FIDM/ Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising

Bradon McDonald, a Lowville, N.Y. native, received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in dance from the Julliard School, and had a 14-year career as a professional modern dancer before enrolling in FIDM. When creating his first collection, McDonald felt inspired by the coastal cliffs in Malibu, Calif., from Paradise Cove to Point Dume. He employs multiple couture techniques in his women’s special occasion day and eveningwear collection, which is comprised of fabrics such as luxurious silk jacquard, silk gazar, and silk georgette. Upon graduating from FIDM, McDonald was seen in Season 12 of Project Runway.
