Golf Tip: Sequence of Motion

Proper mechanics crucial to efficient swing

David Woods Golf

The golf swing is very similar to the athletic movement of a variety of other sports, similar to hitting a baseball or throwing a ball.

The use of ground force and momentum is essential to a well executed swing. The golf swing is a dynamic motion which requires balance and strength.

Much like throwing a baseball, shifting of weight allows you to create more force being applied to the ball. Most golfers work harder than needed due to poor position of their body during the swing.

In the video, I describe the sequence in which the body works when an efficient swing is made.
