Gustavo Gomez is a student at College of the Desert studying to be an architect, he will be attending Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo in the fall of this year. Nikki Andrade is also a student at College of the Desert and will be transferring to Cal State Fullerton for her degree in Civil Engineer with emphasis in Architecture. The inspiration and design for the dress is from a sculpture called Lavilla by Lynda Benglis form the art exhibit The Passionate Pursuit. The concept of the dress was inspired and designed by Gustavo Gomez and Nikki Andrade. Phyllis Wilhelm their seamstress, from a single sketch to the runway; made the La Villa dress into reality. |
