Housed in a mid-century modern landmark building that once operated as a bank, TRIO Restaurant has reaped dividends to become a desert treasure in the trendy Uptown Design District of Palm Springs.
Among its accolades, TRIO has been highly rated on Tripadvisor.com; was most recently honored as one of the top 100 restaurants in the U.S. by OpenTable.com, and voted by Palm Springs Life readers as best restaurant for three years in a row.
Since opening in 2009, TRIO’s owners, restaurateur Tony Marchese and Executive Chef Mark Van Laanen, have successfully created a restaurant that has delicious food paired with great energy.
The restaurant’s decor is lively and upbeat, with vibrant splashes of color and creative lighting that includes a show-stopping rubber-wrapped chandelier illuminating the elevated, semi-private dining area. A new outdoor patio area let’s dinners soak in the local “vibe”.
TRIO’s Midwest-inspired comfort food served with a Californian flair can be seen in an extensive menu featuring a variety of fish, steaks, salads, plus seasonal and local items. Van Laanen consistently keeps the menu fresh with exciting new dishes and nightly specials.
TRIO restaurant is open daily from 11 a.m. A delicious 3-course prix fixe menu is offered from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. TRIO also offers its “Cocktail Madness” Happy Hour from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, featuring drinks starting at only $3, wine, beer and tasty bar bites for $5.
An eclectic weekend option called “Brunch a-go-go” was recently added to the restaurant’s line-up and offers bottomless Mimosas, specialty Bloody Mary’s and a delicious breakfast/lunch menu (plus the prix fixe) FROM 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
