Hyatt Palm Springs is making noise this summer by going silent.

The downtown Palm Springs hotel kicks off its summer season with a series of lively “Aqua Libre” Saturday evening summer pool gatherings known as “Silent DJ” parties.

The inaugural party will debut June 20 and continue throughout the summer, concluding with a Labor Day weekend finale. Palm Springs’ splashiest pool party weekends will feature dynamic DJ performances non-stop from 1-5 p.m. every Saturday.

Once a month on Saturday nights, the outdoor excitement will continue from 8-11 p.m. with the area’s first ever ‘Silent DJ’ parties. Wireless headsets will be provided to each guest, with one channel featuring hits from the DJ’s live set and a second channel with a different playlist available for party-goers. Accompaniments such as cold towels, water misters, and cold cocktails will be available to guests.

Pool party weekends are open to the public as well as to hotel guests. There is no cover charge or dress code. All attendees must be 21 and over.

The rest of the summer dates are July 4, Aug. 8, and Sept 5.

Hyatt Palm Springs, 285 N. Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs. Reservations are recommended at 760-322-9000; www.palmsprings.hyatt.com
