Skate your way into a winter Wonderland

Ebony March Attractions

The Greater Palm Springs area is known for its blazing hot temperatures in the summer. But there are plenty of options for keeping cool without squeezing into your bikini or trunks. Instead of the swimming pool, try the ice rink.

Desert Ice Castle in Cathedral City offers classes ranging from figure skating to hockey.  Sign up for nine weeks of beginning skater classes hosted every two months.  Sports fanatics, realize your dream of becoming the next Wayne Gretzky or Mike Fisher by taking stick-holding courses for an improved hockey game. Join Desert Ice Castle’s adult hockey league to test your skills against some of the desert’s best athletes.

You’ll find fun adult sessions of other Olympic sports like broomball, and public skating sessions. Expand your child’s horizons by enrolling them in skate camp. Friday nights are especially fun. Desert Ice Castle turns into one of the wildest clubs around with its Let’s Skate! Party. DJ J Dogg spins the latest tunes as locals twirl and speed across the ice from 7 to 9 p.m.

Or, if hanging out with your crew prior to the weekend is a must, meet here for public skating sessions on Tuesdays from 7:30 to 9 p.m. On-site skate rentals are available. Bring your thirst for adventure and a pair of warm socks for an unforgettable night on the ice.
