Indian Wells Golf Resort Hosts Pro-Am Invitational

Tourney format combines teams from top golf clubs in Southern California

The Indian Wells Pro-Am Invitational golf event will tee-off Jan. 31, 2015 at the prestigious Players Course at Indian Wells Golf Resort.

With the city of Indian Wells as title sponsor, the Pro-Am combines teams from some of the top golf clubs in Southern California as amateurs and pros test their skills on this tournament masterpiece in its most intriguing and challenging form.

Amateur teams vie for awards, golf trips and good old fashioned bragging rights for their club. Professionals compete for their share of the $12,500 tournament purse, the Champion’s Trophy and to be crowned the 2015 Indian Wells Pro-Am Invitational Champion.

Past champions have included Brian Mahoney (2011), Michael Block (2012), and Brian Miller (2013) with this year’s event expected to draw the most competitive field to date.

Beginning with an 11 a.m. shotgun start and utilizing a “Final Round” Tournament format, the 18-hole championship features a modified one best ball net Shamble format for amateurs and is priced at $300 per player.

Golf Professionals who enter a complete amateur team of four players receive complimentary entry. Entrants will have a shared golf cart with GPS. They will also receive a tee gift package including a special gift, lunch, and admittance to the event cocktail and awards reception.
