AYS Sports Marketing is bringing the Taste of Tennis for the first time March 6 to Indian Wells at the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa.

Taste of Tennis is widely regarded as tennis’ premier “off the court” experience. For the past 17 years, Taste of Tennis has kicked off major tennis tournaments across the U.S. and Australia. The event features incredible cuisine prepared by top chefs, one-of-a-kind hospitality, interactive sponsor experiences, and appearances by the world’s best tennis players.

Headlining the inaugural Indian Wells event will be the 2016 James Beard Award winning chef and California native, Jonathan Waxman. Featured alongside Chef Waxman will be host Chef Chris Mitchum of the Hyatt Regency, Tara Lazar of Birba & Mr. Lyons, Michael Beckman of Workshop Kitchen + Bar, Drew Davis of Catalan, Andy Ricker of Pok Pok LA and many others.

A sneak peak of this year’s menu includes Bootlegger Tiki’s “Short Shorts”, a pineapple rum and Thai chili infused Mezcal cocktail, and Miramonte’s Charcoaled Spanish Octopus with basil pesto, sunchoke, granny smith apple, and marigold. Past participants include tennis stars Bob and Mike Bryan, Caroline Wozniacki, Genie Bouchard, Johanna Konta, Feliciano Lopez, Sam Querrey and many others.

Support for the event comes from Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa, City of Indian Wells, Tourism Authority of Thailand, North Shore Living Herbs, Voss Water, ChefWorks and Volkl. A portion of the proceeds will benefit United Way of the Desert.

“We are thrilled to bring this event to Indian Wells,” says AYS President Judi Lerner. “Great food, music, signature cocktails, and pro tennis players at the luxurious Hyatt Regency, we can’t think of a better way to celebrate the return of tennis to California and to raise funds and awareness for United Way of the Desert.”

You don’t want to miss out on this opportunity to rub elbows with top tennis players and celebrity chefs while supporting a great cause.
