Linda Young has created her own brand of breathtaking design projects — from New York to California — for an international roster of residential and commercial clients. Throughout her career, Linda has drawn upon a rich heritage of twentieth century design concepts and innovation, and she possesses an encyclopedic knowledge of the aesthetic and practical aspects of her craft. But Young’s success doesn’t rely on her credentials or resume. The success of Linda’s work is forged in the relationship she establishes with her clients.
“The reason the homes I design reach this high level of beauty is that they reflect the aspirations and passions of the homeowner,” explains Young. “Homeowners trust my judgment; they know I understand the way they want to experience and live in their home. The whole process is about their expectations, their individual lifestyle.”
Young is a co-creator. Her partner in every project is the client. Hence, every Linda Young project is as unique as the individuals who will live, work, or visit there.
Linda demonstrates her imagination and collaborative finesse in an array of local projects throughout Indian Wells, Palm Desert, La Quinta, and Palm Springs — including private luxury homes and the design work for Old Town La Quinta, from facade enhancement to complete specifications. Profoundly influenced by legendary San Simeon designer Julia Morgan, Young captures the synergy of the Spanish Colonial and Arts-n-Crafts movements in some of her most evocative work.
The featured home is built by Wattenbarger Construction. Jeff Wattenbarger’s attention to the design details and their emplimentation is evident in all of his projects.
Young immerses herself in every project she accepts. Her passion for detail, her sensitivity to the specific tastes of the client, and her respect for the environment, all culminate in the creation of a new world, every time she completes a project. She’s earned numerous awards for her design work and she has endeavored to enrich the community by serving on important boards and commissions, and by developing leadership and mentoring programs for design students.
