Michael Verbitski, 30
Director of Patient Access, JFK Memorial Hospital
A former college football player, Michael Verbitski started his healthcare career in pediatric home care, transferring to the desert in 2012.
Now, he oversees everything from hospital admissions and scheduling to housekeeping, emergency drills, and dietary services. “JFK is critical for the East Valley,” he says. “We’re a small hospital, so people like myself and many others wear multiple hats; we wear them proudly.”
Michael also serves on the board of the Inland Empire Ronald McDonald House, which offers a place to stay for families with hospitalized children.
