Music fans were treated to a one-of-a-kind orchestral extravaganza event called "Holiday in Palm Springs" when the Hyatt Hotel recently hosted the Palm Springs Orchestra Inaugural Awards.
The event featured soprano Antonia Dunjko, who performed with the Little Stars, a Croatian World Champion Girls Choir. The choir has been designated as the Cultural Ambassadors of the European Union, and was directed by Maestro Zdravko Sljivac.
Two awards were presented at this event – the Little Stars received a Humanitarian Award, and Kathleen Bennett, Founder/Principal of Resort Marketing, was presented with an Award of Excellence.
Also in attendance were Grammy-nominated performer Chris Bennett and the renowned violinist, Elizabeth Pitcairn, who is a proud owner of a 1720 Stradivarius "Red Violin."
