The Palm Springs Art Museum Architecture and Design Council’s annual fundraiser took revelers back to 1961 as the Architecture and Design Center, Edwards Harris Pavilion was transformed into an outdoor time machine on Feb. 21.
Guests dressed the part and enjoyed live music by the Gand Band with guest singer Trini Lopez, who lives in Palm Springs. There was also a fashion show by Bill Miller’s Deja Vu Vintage Finery and Matt Burkholtz’s Route 66 West, 1961-inspired nosh by Lulu, and traditional midcentury cocktails tby Tito’s Handmade Vodka.
Guests also gained an inside look at the redesign of the original E. Stewart Williams building, the Santa Fe Savings & Loan, has been reinvented into a space housing the architectural history of the Greater Palm Springs area.
