Palm Springs Life magazine – February 1963

On The Cover: William F. Cody’s design for the dramatic entry to Eldorado Country Club becomes a more perfect photographic setting each year. The lush vegetation has acquired the fullness of growth that the original plans called for. The Executive Committee of the Palm Springs Golf Classic is representative of all of those responsible for the huge success of the 1963 Classic. This $115,000 tournament, the greatest in golf, brings to our desert more than 50,000 people who for five days comprise the gallery at the four participating country clubs. The gentleman on the cover are representing the Classic for the participating clubs, from left, John Curci, Indian Wells Country Club; Ernie Dunlevie, Bermuda Dunes Country Club; Classic President Robert P. McCulloch, Eldorado Country Club; Charles Prince, Tournament Chairman; and David Holub, Tamarisk Country Club.
