Cooking well is a pleasurable pastime for many; cooking with class is an art. Jane Angwin and daughter Andie Hubka have created a multifaceted family business in La Quinta that has been very well received by the desert community.

Cooking With Class comprises a cooking school for home cooks who wish to enhance their skills and serve wonderful meals to their family and friends, as well as a professional cooking program and a baking and pastry program for those who wish to pursue a career as a professional pastry chef. Participants in both programs receive a culinary certification. Angwin and Hubka also offer Cooking with Kids, a class just for kids or a class for parents and kids together.

The full schedule includes fun cooking classes taught by a talented staff and noted guest chefs honing in on the basics and even some specialty classes such as sushi.

Cooking With Class also serves as a restaurant. Special evenings include Dinner and a Date on Fridays, an intimate affair in their kitchen; a monthly Food and Wine Tasting, dedicated to the art of food and wine paring; and Girls Night Out, featuring sophisticated fun and sparkling conversation over Martinis and Appetizers, Wine and Dine, or Sushi and Sake.

Private events can be accommodated here; and you may also purchase their all-natural, gourmet cupcakes baked daily in 10 flavors as a sweet reminder of your visit.

All this is presented by a well-trained faculty of food lovers willing to help fulfill the goals of Executive Chef Andie and
Executive of Everything Else, mother Jane.
