A record number of artists — more than 100 — exhibited their wares during the 16th annual Rancho Mirage Art Affaire, Nov. 7-8, at the city's community park.

The Art Affaire coincided with the christening of the city's new amphitheater.

Artists showcased photography, ceramics, sculpture, glass, water colors, wood, textiles, metal and more. Part of the Art Affaire's proceeds went to the Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert.

Patrons could enjoy a beer and wine garden with food offerings hosted by the Rotary Club of Rancho Mirage, and all proceeds were donated to Rancho Mirage community projects.

Musical entertainment was provided in the new amphitheater by Saxophonist Eric Darius and jazz talent Michael Lington.
