As a blogger and content creator, the need to be creative 24/7 can get overwhelming, but in Palm Springs, inspiration is everywhere. Ruby Keyvani typically hotel hops so she can check out what the different resorts have to offer, and the varied aesthetics of each property get all her artistic juices flowing.

FRIDAY EVENING

Azúcar
Check into one of my favorite boutique hotels, La Serena Villas. The grounds are lovely, and the décor is on point. (I love that the rooms have a swing chair in the front and a soaking tub in the back — perfect for photos.) Once you’re settled, grab a blood-orange margarita and order of chips and guac at the on-site restaurant, Azúcar.

SATURDAY MORNING

La Serena Villas
The downtown Palm Springs property wins extra points for offering guests a breakfast basket with fresh muffins, eggs, and fruit in the morning. Ring the lobby, and they’ll deliver it right to your door. I make it a point to enjoy a little relaxation and breakfast in bed before a long day of shooting and exploring.

SATURDAY AFTERNOON

Sands Hotel & Spa
Sleep somewhere new tonight: This pretty pink resort in Indian Wells is another of my favorite hotels. Every corner provides a cute Instagram backdrop; add in the property’s chill vibes, and you’re in for a perfect stay. Remember to live in the moment, even when the photo-ops make it hard to put your phone and camera away.

SATURDAY EVENING

The Pink Cabana
Head to the Sands’ on-site Pink Cabana restaurant for dinner and drinks. I recommend an Aperol spritz and the mahi mahi (served with celery root purée, wild mushrooms, and caperberry meunière) — so good! Enjoy the eats, and bask in the epic visuals.

SUNDAY MORNING

The Spa at Sands
Wake up with a spa day in the perfect Moroccan oasis. I treat myself anytime I can squeeze a service into a work trip, and this spot is totally opulent. My go-to is the aromatherapy massage, which incorporates a custom essential-oil blend and really helps to reset and refresh the mind before returning home. The entry features a gorgeous lounge area and small retail space.

SUNDAY AFTERNOON

Sands Pool
After the spa treatment, soak up the sun and bask in the heat by the pool for a few hours before hitting the road — a breezy black-and-white cabana makes a great spot to chill out. Get brunch bites, like an açaí bowl with turmeric granola, and either an iced Turkish coffee or a glass of Moroccan mint tea.
