Ruth's Chris Steak House 50th Anniversary Dinner – June 11, 2015

Site Staff Restaurants

Ruth’s Chris Steak House, voted “The Desert’s Best Steak House” for ten consecutive years, celebrated the restaurant’s 50th anniversary with favorite patrons, friends and family at a special wine dinner featuring favorite food items of founder Ruth Fertel.

The restaurant’s gracious staff welcomed guests with Fertel’s favorite drink, a classic Old Fashioned mixed with Casa Noble Anejo Tequila in place of the traditional bourbon whiskey. Following cocktail hour, a sumptuous five course dinner was served including New Orleans Shrimp and Grits;  Fresh Mozzarella and Kumato Tomato Salad;  Ruth’s Original French Onion Soup; a 12 ounce USDA Prime New York Strip; and a decadent serving of Crème Brulee for dessert.  The courses were paired with fine wines from Franciscan, Tom Gore and Robert Mondavi Wineries.

Guests and staff watched a special 50th Anniversary video biography of Fertel, known as “the Empress of Steaks,” who opened the first Ruth’s Chris Steak House in New Orleans in 1965. Her legacy continues to guide the many traditions that customers have come to expect when they dine at Ruth’s Chris Steak House.
