Ever dream of getting behind the wheel of a real Formula One® race car or want to feel the adrenaline rush experienced by the world’s fastest drivers?

Now’s your chance, as DXL’s Ride & Drive Experience comes to the Coachella Valley in partnership with the College of the Desert (COD) for an exclusive charity event Nov. 23 to benefit the college’s Automotive Technology Program. The cost is $999 per driver.

Developed by former "24 Hours of Le Mans" driver, Jean-Paul Libert, and Didier Theys, a 10-time Ferrari 333 SP Champion and two-time overall winner of the "24 Hours of Daytona", this ultimate joyride caters to both seasoned and novice motorsport connoisseurs with a choice of two programs:

• Sit pole position with a professional driver in a Formula One® 1-by-3 seater and go from 0 to 60 mph in 1.8 seconds.

• Take control of a Lotus Elite or Formula One® single-seater to push one of these vehicles to its limit and feel the power, cornering, and braking that only this race car can provide.
