If you have been missing the Basque-style small plates or “Pintxos” on the desert dining scene at Tinto located inside the Saguaro Palm Springs, you will be happy to hear they are back!

The restaurant opened Dec. 3 after being closed for remodeling this past summer. The newly re-designed space offers a more intimate dining and bar area with a mix of small top tables, café height communal tables, and bar seating to go along with the new small plate tapas menu designed for sharing.

Intimate tapas dining is ideal for cozy conversation.

The restaurant also features a private dining area, The Palmetto Room, which can open onto the Santa Rosa Patio to accommodate up to 140 guests for special events.

The new menu features a selection of 20 hot and cold Pintxos meant to mix, share and pair with Spanish and California wines. A prix fixe brunch menu is also offered on weekends.

Addictive Patatas Riojanas.

Patatas Riojanas are an addictive combination of potato perfection. The lightly golden, crispy exterior gives way to a fluffy, light bite. Rich and savory-sweet tomato compote is served along with a creamy blue-cheese crema for dipping.

Moules Musings at Tinto Palm Springs.

Moules or “mussels” are sautéed and served in broth with Almond Picada, a Spanish condiment traditionally made from toasted bread, nuts, garlic, olive oil and fresh herbs. Sliced baguettes are served to soak up and savor every last drop of flavor.
