Trio restaurant celebrated its sixth anniversary Nov. 9 with a community party that featured a spirited performance by new Coachella Valley resident Bonnie Pointer (of the Pointer Sisters).
Trio owners Tony Marchese and Mark Van Laanen presented donation checks to Mark Anton, of the AIDS Assistance Program, and Ryan Woll, principal of Palm Springs High School.
Other attending guests included Mistress of Ceremonies Bella da Ball, comedienne Shann Carr, John and Rachel Smith, Steve Manoukian and John Muyer and a pair of stilt walkers.
